Bon Voyage

Bon Voyage invites you to consider travel not simply as a record of places visited, but as a force that reshapes who we are. Featuring work by NHAA artist members in painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, installation, fiber arts, and digital media, the exhibition moves beyond scenic documentation to explore how movement through the world alters our sense of self, belonging, home, relationships, beliefs, and outlook. Some works offer literal glimpses of journeys taken; others respond more abstractly to the pull between what travel brings us closer to and what it draws us away from, and to the disorientation and wonder of stepping into the unfamiliar. The exhibition runs alongside Thor Art: A Retrospective, a survey of longtime member Bob Thoresen's work, in the Main and East Galleries. Together, the two shows invite reflection on distance and return, on the unplanned detour and the idea of home, offering visitors a chance to consider their own notions of departure and arrival.
